Family Court must be abolished. These poor women!! I was given every other weekend and no contact on holidays and Mother’s Day. When the judge gave him sole custody, the ex’s wife, who enjoys her job at the courthouse working in the Probation Department in the Erie County Courthouse, PA, started jumping up and down, whooping, clapping and cheering along with her three sisters, mother and grandparents. The following day, the ex ran down to Domestic Relations and filed for child support (This was AFTER they made up false allegations to CPS of Emotional Child Abuse AND his attorney said I was mentally ill and alienating the kids from the father). All of this worked in their favor causing a major heart attack and severe alienation from my 3 (now adult) children. To answer anyone’s question if Family Court kills, the answer is YES.
guardian ad litem. They are supposedly an independent advocate for the child. They investigate and make a report to the court with recommendations on custody/visitation.
