Helping moms for many years in the family court system and I have known this for 20 years. I discovered the GAL in my case sold my former spouse custody and I was pretty sure he was sexually abusing my kids. Until those kids come forward we will never know. Kids have two years from the time they are 18 to file suit for what their parents did or the courts.

Thank you for sharing your story. I'm scared to share mine, and it is so terrible but encouraging to hear yours. In speaking up, we empower ourselves AND each other. I share in your past with family court. They have also disregarded my requests for protection and caused untold damage by doing so. I am so sorry for what your father did to you AND what family court then did to you as well. This is a pain that cannot be understood unless you have lived through it. Please keep speaking up. I believe you and support you. Many of us do. Do everything in your power to fight back. We will all support you! Do not give up on you ever. Keep drumming and fighting to be the precious child you were before the abuse. Drum, drum, drum!
Thank you for sharing your story; together we need to demand a new system. Child abuse is domestic violence, it’s crazy that judges rely on psychologists, who have little to no DV training, instead of DV experts for child abuse (DV cases). Archaic mindset, judges need to pay attention to current research and get with the times. FC’s and their affiliated court psychologists are maintaining male entitlement, harming women and children; this needs to stop! The right to raise a family, safely, is a constitutional right.
