Family court judges abuse their power. They give child custody to males that request it. Women and their children will continue to be separated as long as family court exists. Systemic male entitlement dominates family court. Women are stripped of their financial resources fighting a battle that cannot be won. It doesn't matter if there is evidence of abuse. It doesn't matter if the father is not the biological father or even a US citizen. Actress Kelly Rutherford had to move to Monaco to be near her children. Family court leaves women without their children and penniless. Children are used by their fathers. Children are used by family court judges. Family court judges threaten women to comply or lose their children. Mothers often lose more time with their children when they comply. Vulnerable women that are desperate to be with their children are drained financially by family court judges. Mothers cannot protect their children in family court. Family court judges endanger children. Family court is a torture chamber. A new system is needed. Family court judges must be stripped of their power. Family court must end.

We need to do something to fix things. Women are fourth class citizens in my state, California. Judges throw domestic violence victims on the street to die and take away their children and give them to violent abusers. If there are family funds, judges allow the husbands to confiscate them and then continue any requests from the wife for protection for herself or her kids or to get even a part of her money before it's gone. I've interviewed homeless women. It's not drugs that make the majority of homeless women homeless. It''s the family law courts. Attorneys take thousand from women and drop their cases the day before the hearing for lack of more funds. Attorneys who do that need disbarred and misogynistic judges need to be removed from the bench. We need a legislative day in Sacramento where we speak to legislators about new laws. Most will agree to meet with us if we go as a group to their offices, scheduling in advance or have a meeting place there and have them come to us. Public relations. We should pick a day in May or June and do that. I can help with setting it up if you want.

This is nearly identical to my own story. I was kept on supervision for 4+ years, despite final orders for equal parenting time. At the time the second to last supervisor was removed she was trying to charge 4k per month. I now have equal parenting time under temp orders with dad still have decision making. I have been fighting for over seven years. I became very active with helping AZ pass SB1372 to ban reunification camps and I will not stop there. I encourage ALL moms to get as active and loud in the movement as possible. Go speak with your legislators. You may be surprised that they listen! Start with a simple email to your district state rep asking for a meeting to discuss the crisis. Explain how other states are already passing these types of bills. Danielle Pollack can help connect you with policy advisors. Get serious about connecting with other victimized moms in your area and working together. Start going to local meetings as a group and speaking out. Look online for family court, DV, child abuse related committees and their meetings. Attend and speak. Go to county board supervisor meeting for social service problems and speak out there. Protest and be loud on social media.
