Dr. Gwendolyn Riddick, an OB-GYN, was murdered by her ex at a local North Carolina park last Sunday during a custody exchange. This slaughter took place in public in front of her three year-old son and park goers. Dr. Riddick’s ex had assaulted her on multiple occasions previously. She was seeking sole custody of her toddler.

Dr. Gwendolyn Riddick should be alive. Her son should have his mommy. The Texas mom should be alive. Her toddler should have his or her mommy. The lives of these children are forever changed. Women and children are not valued or protected. The inhumanity is insignificant to abusive and empowered males. The insanity and craziness is in a male entitled system that requires loving and nurturing mothers to hand their precious children over to violent and sadistic monsters. Family court judges endanger women and children. Abusive fathers harm children physically and emotionally. They use their children as an extension of themselves to continue to torment mothers. Children would be safer in a matriarchal society. Women would also be safer. Women and children are not male property. Patriarchy dominated family court treats them as though they are. Women and children need, deserve and have a right to protection. They deserve to be together. Women need to continue to fight for change. Family court judges must be rendered powerless. Mothers must be allowed to love, nurture and protect their children. Mothers and children should be able to live together in peace.

Although we know matriarchy was and will be the re-balancing we need and the restoration to sanity, I think the Coalition should keep focus on removing family court access to women and children custody cases.

Of communication with my daughter. My ex husband has enforced an order or protection against me. We have been divorce for 9 years. And he have been manipulating my daughter for years . Now the camels back has broken. I was forced to have my finance leave our home for good and end the relationship due to the situation. I’m force to pay the bills on my own lawyers fees and now the ex is filing for child support. I work 1 jobs already for 12 to sometimes 16 hours a day I can’t do anymore. I miss my child my life line my best friend the reason I breath. That monster has been waiting to do this me since the day I divorced him. He abused me in our marriage and when I left it was not so pretty. An arrest and CPS was involved so no he is trying to do the same to me. He has my daughter telling lies . And making out to be a negligent and abusive parent. There is no one on this earth that would detest to that. We go to court and all I feel like is a change purse attached to my lawyer a muzzled side piece. With no say. I’ve come to find out that my daughter doesn’t even know why she can’t see me mind you she is 15 no infant. And she is smart high honor roll star. Athlete you name it she is an exemplary student. I am on this run away train and being railroaded and I can’t get off. The lawyers are bullying me in taking a plea to accept charges of abuse and neglect just so they can meet their time line. They don’t care about me as a person and what happens to me or my daughter one the case or docket goes away. The nightmare needs to end. I don’t know how to do it.!I will go broke in the mean time
The system is horrible. How am I supposed to survive. I don't have the support of my family financially its just not there. Of course I will support my daughter I did it for years. But how do i I pay by bills do I go live on the streets in the meantime? I can't get help because they look at what you make not what you actually take home and what your responsible for. In my state they base child support off your Gross pay How can that possible be! I don't take that money home at least 30% goes to the government, I rent in one of the most expensive counties in the US. (I expected to stay in the school district so he can use my address so my daughter can go to school)renters insurance (required in my state), Internet and TV to the minimum. Electricity not to mention the inflation over the summer. A Car payment because last year someone decided to run a red light with no insurance and total my lease., car insurance, maintenance on a car. gas, health insurance, Medication out of pocket my insurance will not cover my meds been fighting it for a year over $100 a month. not tax deductible either. not enough for a deduction. Food i'm a vegetarian, on Keto so I've reduced the typical groceries in half. I don't drink, I have no more friends because they associate with my Ex and my daughter, I don't go out or indulge in getting my nails or hair done. I do it myself. ( i don't neglect myself ) My point is how much more . the cost spent out weighs how much money actually goes in the bank. So how can a system say you need to pay your Spouce $x xx amount of dollars when he makes double as much as you do has two adults bringing in an income when I am doing it alone. They simply don't care who gets hurt who goes broke. they look at a formula at that's the end of it. The Court system is a Circus. I'm just a money bag strapped to a lawyer. and we are herded through the Courtroom like cattle. Not even spoken to only the lawyers. and ushered out with no regard of your feelings or if you have questions comments etc. Your bullied to be on their timeline. I never thought I would be in this situation ever in my life. I have never cried so much in my life this hurt will be forever in my heart.
America needs the ERA passed, that is at the root of legalized trafficking and commodifies women and children as well as elderly when protections are sought that are inferior or non existent in contrast to protections for perpetrators. That said, all patriarchy cannot be characterized as bad, to do so undermines good fathers who want to raise strong competent daughters who are in effect feminists.
